chambery inn is a charming place with spacious rooms and high ceilings. we enjoyed the lovely tea selection, especially the harney & sons. the breakfast basket delivered to our room was a delightful surprise. it’s also conveniently located within walking distance of several good restaurants.

A combination of hits and misses

The vintage charm of the space combined with high ceilings and a comfortable bed made for a lovely stay! We loved the choice of Harney & Sons tea and the fun blackboard for notes!

Despite its charm, staff availability was lacking. we hardly saw anyone at the front desk during our entire visit. The dated shower left something to be desired.

The whole Inn is so quiet that we didn’t see anybody the whole weekend.

The building is a former school building, and while it has spacious rooms with high ceilings, the windows do not open. This made our stay stuffy with no air movement, which is uncomfortable. Additionally, the costs were high and paying extra for a breakfast basket felt unjustified given the experience overall.

i was completely taken aback by the crazy price for a room where the windows don’t even open! add to that the shrieking fire alarms. woudl ve been nice to maybe get a complimentary upgrade for the trouble—such a missed opportunity for a better review!

We loved our huge room with comfy bed and high ceilings. A nice touch was breakfast in a basket, which was super tasty. We enjoyed a cozy night by the fireplace. Just wish for a fridge in the room to keep snacks cold. The location is perfect for checking out local restaurants too!

We loved staying here with the grandkids! The spacious rooms made family time enjoyable. Plus, being close to great hiking and kayaking spots kept us busy all day. Friday evenings with live entertainment added an exciting touch to our stay.
